OVERVIEW OF NEW SAFETY POLICIES:
Updated January 2021
Our lobby will be closed to parents and observers.
We will utilize curbside student drop‐off and pick‐up. We will have a staff member present to monitor the dancers’ entrance and exit of the building.
All staff, faculty, and dancers will have their temperature taken with our touchless forehead thermometer upon arrival.
All staff, faculty, and dancers must wash hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer before and after each class.
We will have our dance rooms and common areas marked with “dance dots” to help maintain proper social distancing.
Instructors will adjust teaching methods to help dancers social distance during class.
We have adopted staggered scheduling, allowing time for students to exit the studio and for the dance room to be properly sanitized between classes.
All staff, faculty, and dancers must stay home if they have a cough, fever or if a member of their household has been sick or is showing signs of illness.
All staff, faculty, and dancers will be asked to avoid unnecessary contact such as hugs, handshakes, high‐fives, etc.
The consumption of food in the studio / lobby area is prohibited.
Our water fountains will be closed. Dancers may bring their own water bottle, clearly labeled with their name, to be left and consumed in a designated area.
Class size will be monitored to allow for proper social distancing.
Dressing Rooms will be closed. We ask that all dancers arrive dressed for class.
Restrooms, light switches, doorknobs, sinks, and other frequently touched surfaces will be sanitized numerous times throughout the dance day.
In accordance with VDH recommendations, masks / face coverings are not required while maintaining proper social distancing when exercising and are not required for children under the age of 5. Faculty, staff, and dancers may utilize face coverings at their own discretion while following state mandates.
